When it comes to content creation, there’s nothing worse than sitting with a blank page and mind, wondering what on earth you’re going to write, record or shoot. It takes just as long to create a bad piece of content than it does a good piece, so you might as well create a good piece (right?!) That’s where the 3 golden rules of content creation comes in. This will make your ‘rabbit in the headlights’ vibe disappear and have you in full flow… Whether it’s writing social media captions, making an Instagram carousel, Podcast, YouTube video or blog. Whatever the content type, there’s 3 things that every piece of content should answer.

Problem aware

Whoever, reads, listens or watches needs to be pulled in. They need to quickly know that you ‘get them’ and that you could potentially help them. This not only exerts your place as an expert to them, but captivates their attention… Especially if they’re scrolling through social media.

So think… What is something your audience struggle with that your business can solve? i.e Are you bamboozled by Instagram Reels?! Do you even know what TikTok is?! You know you should be doing It for your business, but your mind is literally blown.

This tells my audience that I know exactly what they’re thinking, feeling and want to solve. All of a sudden they’re like ‘heck that’s me! You’ve read my mind… Tell me more!’

Solution aware

The next section of your content should always be solution aware based. So you’ve already got your ideal audiences attention… Now what?! Well now you introduce them to the idea of what it’s like to not struggle with that issue. Think of it like being on the other side of the fence. One side is the problem side and the other is the solution side. Your audience are stuck on the problem side, but are peering over and thinking ‘the grass definitely is greener on that side!’

So, you need to tell them what life is like on that side i.e ‘With Instagram Reels me and my clients are getting over 200 followers a week and reach of over 10 times that of Stories. Not only that but those followers are engaged and ready to buy.

So, now they recognise and agree with the problem, they want the solution and so here’s where part 3 comes in.

Solve offer

Now it’s time to introduce how your offer will help them get from problem to solution. Regardless of what the offer is… It’s the bridge that’s going to take them to the other side. Make it attainable. i.e With my Reels Bootcamp, you will learn all the tech, transitions and how to make Reels that grab the attention of your audience and grow your account faster than any other Instagram content type.’

So next time you’re staring at a blank page wondering what to write, record or shoot… Remember to make sure you follow these 3 simple steps to get your message across in your content.
